This is the concert that “The Plaids” never had. They died in a plane crash with their dreams still unfulfilled.

Previously seen in the 1990’s this show returns to the London stage in the cosy setting of St James Theatre Studio, which I feel is absolutely perfect for this production. Billed as “The Heavenly Hit Musical” these four gents provide us with some divine harmonies which are an absolute dream to listen to.
There’s no real storyline but then you don’t need one for here we are listening to Jon Lee, Keith Jack, Matthew Quinn and Luke Striffler deliver a consistently vocally stunning performance throughout.

There’s light comedy as well and all is underpinned with sublime accompaniment from Anthony Gabriele on the piano. Direction and choreography by Grant Murphy is beautifully crafted and in perfect harmony with performers and the ambience created in this bijou and classy performance space.
This is a charming, nostalgic and endearing evening of entertainment. It’s all about the voices and the harmonies and these four gentleman are in my opinion genius casting by Jane Deitch as each have their own superb vocal talent and all ooze charisma.
A wonderful gem which has a short run so I’d urge you to grab a ticket whilst you can!
