Time Zone Theatre presents

STATE OF FEAR. Responsibility to … ?

We invite playwrights to write a short piece in response to the current political climate in the UK. EU Referendum? Islamophobia? Immigration? Perspectives? Where are we coming from? Where are we heading to? Whose opinions do we have and who do we trust?

Time Zone Theatre brings together emerging talent of the British and international theatre scene to examine these topics, because we believe theatre should ask questions and spark debate.

Out of all submissions received, six short plays will be chosen to be produced and performed on 18 October 2015 at Southwark Playhouse.

Eligibility

• Plays must be complete short plays, not excerpts of longer plays

• Running time for each piece 10 – 20 minutes

• A maximum of 4 characters

• Suitable to be performed in a black box space with basic props, light, sound

• Writers must be based in the UK

Please send submissions via email to info@timezonetheatre.com by 31st August 2015.
